‘Smoke Dreams’ won the gold award at the New York Radio Festival.

An exploration of the experience of smoking, both in terms of its impact on the body and
the political connotations of the way it is marketed. The programme includes first hand accounts of the experience of smoking, special fx of the impact on the body and music. These are combined with a wide range of interviews and also poetry from Nigerian medical doctor and poet, Dr Tony Marinho and writer and poet, Gabriel Gbadamosi (the former reflects on the wider implications for Africa and the latter reflects on his own ‘last’ cigarette and his relationship with his father.
